Danny Cuff
Director
After graduating from Staffordshire University in 2011 with a BA Hons Degree in Journalism I started work for a recruitment company in Ipswich in the sales department. However, during my last year of University I studied the artwork side of journalism and enjoyed this more than the writing! Outside of work I have a little boy Noah, who was born in the summer of 2015, and enjoy spending time with him and my wife Cyntia. I am a keen birdwatcher and love getting outdoors!
Greg Ruffell
Director
I have worked in the print industry for over 34 years after starting with an apprenticeship as a planner. In the early stages Swaingrove focused on the reprographics for the print trade but as technologies changed we became a full print-house in our own right. After becoming MD of Swaingrove I ran the company for 16 years before we joined forces with Gipping Press in October 2014. Outside of work I enjoy playing 5-a-side football and Cannicross in an attempt to keep myself fit.
Jonathan Steed
Director
I trained in graphics at Ipswich Art School before enjoying various design roles in the printing industry. After being self-employed for 12 years I joined the team here in 2008 and have held various responsibilities. After the pandemic I returned to a role in the studio. I’m married to Julie and we have two grown-up sons and two beautiful twin granddaughters (with another on the way). I'm a leader at Chilton Hall Community Church, a keen football fan, and also occasionally golf badly!
Bob Cuff
Director
I joined Gipping Press in the early 1980’s to manage the company for the then owner Mike Truscott. The challenges have been considerable over the years but with a quality team and constantly keeping an eye on the future we have seen Gipping Press not only sustain itself but also flourish. I believe our customer service ethos has been, and still is, the secret to success. I am eternally grateful to all the skilled, generous and committed staff and some very loyal customers, many of which have become good friends. Outside of the business I enjoy playing sport, hill walking and have a keen interest in riding my motorcycle. I also have an active role in the Stowmarket and District Lions which again I really enjoy.
Joseph Cook
Studio & Customer Services
I joined Gipping Press during September 2015 as a studio apprentice. This means that I spend the majority of my time designing and formatting artworks to fit a customer’s specification. Other times I help out in other areas of the company including the finishing department as they often can use another pair of hands. Outside of work I spend my time with my family and friends as well as going to the gym. I hope one day to become a professional studio designer and I think with the help of Gipping Press I should get there no problem.
Lorraine Chatfield
Accounts Dept
Lorraine joined us in 2022. She has lots of accuntancy experience and also looks after her own clients when she is not in the office here. She is married to Simon and has two grown up daughters. Her two dogs are often visitors to the accounts office too. In her spare time she is an enthusiastic Ipswich Town FC supporter and season ticket holder.
Darren Pleasance
Digital Print Technician
My role at Gipping Press is as a digital press operator and as a guillotine operator. Outside of work my main interests are within sport and mainly football. I have played football since I was 10 years old and throughout that time I have played for many local clubs: Haughley, Stowupland, Stonham, Stowmarket, Cedars Park and Ipswich Athletic FC. I'm now Assistant Manager at Whitton United Reserves.
Paul Stephenson
Litho Press Operator
I started at Gipping Press 28 years ago in the finishing department, aged 19. I now run the 4 colour Shinohara Lithographic Press and the Heidleberg GTO in the print room. I am a father of 5 children with the youngest born in early 2014. My main interests include watching films with my family and eating out at restaurants.
Tim Lunness
Print Finisher
Tim brings many years of experience in the print trade and his expertise is an asset to our company. He has used his skills and wisdom to further streamline the workings within the finishing department. Tim is married to Dawn and lives in Mid Suffolk. Outside of work Tim has a passion for golf and has an annual golfing trip with the boys where they jet off to fancy golf courses around the world.
Chris Kearley
Print Finisher
Chris joined Gipping Press in January 2025. He has 45 years experience in the printing industry. He is married to Janice, they have grown-up children and live in Nedging Tye in the heart of the Mid Suffolk countryside. Chris enjoys all sports and together they love cruising, walking and quiz shows. When Trevor retired Chris inherited the role of resident comedian at GPL with his repertoire of jokes. Some of them do get a laugh!
Dan Lloyd
Print Finisher
Dan joined us in September 2025 with over twenty years experience in print finishing. Dan is married with two young children and lives in Ipswich. In his spare time Dan enjoys model making, computing and a host of other interest, adding 'when I have the time!'.
