If you are interested in self-publishing a book then we would love to see you at our Self-Publishing Workshop on Monday 16th October at Thurston Library.
Throughout the morning we will cover all aspects of layout and offer helpful guides that can save you time and money when it comes to the time to print. We will also be joined by Catherine Legg, of Pernickety Kate Proofreading & Editing, who will be offering advice on editing and proofreading and stressing the importance of a fresh set of eyes on your work.
There is also the opportunity to share ideas with Matt Pilling of Owl Bookbinding. Matt is a hand-binding expert and will have samples of different options that are available if you wanted to go for a cover or binding away from the norm!
Here at Gipping Press we regularly work with self-publishing authors on all sorts of projects: from autobiographies, to family histories, through to knitting patterns and complete novels. Whilst we certainly could help you as a customer if the need arose, this event is not a sales event and we purely want to offer some free advice to those with an interest in producing a book.
Don’t be put off because you think you may only need a handful of copies. We regularly help people produce as few as 10 books to be given as gifts to close friends and family and so the minimum run length is almost non-existent!
PLEASE NOTE THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULLY BOOKED due to limited space – but please be assured we will hold another workshop very soon due to the high level of demand for this one. Please watch this space!
